Matero Transition Network Event 29 April 2021: Ex-Military Women in the Corporate World

April 1, 2021 Dan McDonough

Started in 2019 by Stuart Tootal and Dan McDonough, Matero Consulting has designed a proven ‘new ways of working’ methodology called MECCAR, which leverages military experience of purpose, empowerment, agile decision-making, and leadership for the benefit of business change agendas.  Using a framework adapted from combat and applied to commerce, MECCAR empowers teams with purpose based on a flexible framework of process, tools and skills, which delegate authority, bring clarity in ambiguity, resilience for change and disruption when pace, precision, and the ability to thrive in uncertainty and pivot faster than the competition is key.

Drawing on their experience of having founded the Barclay’s AFTER and military employment transition programmes, Dan and Stuart have established the Matero Transition Network (MTN). This provides a forum to support those who have left or are considering leaving the military, and who have an active interest in consulting. MTN also draws support from the wider Matero Associate Community (the MAC) of consultants to help guide and assist the services leavers who are interested in this sector of employment and career development.  Direct support includes networking, events and guidance with CVs.

This focus of this event will be on ex-military women in business and will include:

  • Personal transition journeys and experiences from women in the corporate world from our guest speakers, which include both Military and Non-Military backgrounds.
  • The Matero perspective on consultancy and the ex-military skills dynamic.
  • Q&A with the panel.
  • Break-out rooms for further networking and to share and explore ideas.
